The water for life

I must not fear.
Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.
Only I will remain.

The System Is To Strong?

When Neo sells his illegal virtual reality programs to his customers, he shows us his stash, located in a hollowed out edition (i.e. simulated book) of Simulacra And Simulation by Jean Baudrillard the chapter is "On Nihilism"
Neo opens "Simulacra and Simulation" to the chapter "On nihilism," which has curiously been printed in the middle of the book, whereas really it is the last chapter of Baudrillard's actual book. And, also curiously, the chapter starts on the left-hand page, not the right-hand page as normal. In that chapter, Baudrillard asserts that revolution is pointless because the system that operates our hyperreal world will automatically and effortlessly neutralize it: "Everywhere, always, the system is too strong: hegemonic."
Yet, Neo has sliced into that specific chapter with a knife, cutting out its substance and inserting instead a copy of his own software. Neo is rejecting Baudrillard's message, implicitly asserting that he can and will rebel against the system in order to achieve his enlightenment or "gnosis." This is an adumbration of what is to come in Reloaded and Revolutions. For Neo will discover that the organized escape of humans from the Matrix into Zion is simply a transfer from one virtual world to another, in precisely the manner anticipated by the Architect of the Matrix. But Neo will find a way to break out of this seemingly nihilistic prison. - Ray Kurzweil

The term "synchronicity" is otherwise viewed as the term "coincidence" by those who do not find themselves perceptually within its flow. With the basic frequency of the environment of the universe increasing, the concept of synchronicity is very important, because the ongoing perception of it is a "marker" of the relationship between your consciousness and the subjective reality you perceive. As most of you have no doubt noticed, the rate and perception of synchronicity is increasing, as is the perception that the linear time flow is speeding up. Perhaps the best overall composite commentary on synchronicity that we have so-far seen is as follows:
Synchronicity is the conscious perception in a physiological time track of the simultaneous manifestation of the multi-dimensional universe. It is the conscious recognition that all events, objects, relationships, points of view, perceptions and interactions are ONE thing viewed from different perspectives. As the basic resonant vibration of the system increases, synchronicity becomes more easily perceptible within experiential reality. Synchronicity is also a reflection of what you believe you reality to be. Synchronicity, relative to reality, IS what reality IS, and it is the WAY it is. Now, many people have discussed the subject of synchronicity, all the way from Carl Jung to Bashar. However, it is from Bashar, representing the Essassani, that we get further clarification: " Recognize that you are all functioning completely within synchronicity, but many of you choose to function within negative synchronicity, choosing a perception of a negative reality, rather than positive synchronicity and a positive perception of reality. Should you choose a negative reality, than those situtations will be negative reflections.

Your World Is A Myth

Pantheistic solipsism is a technical term (properly "Pantheistic multiple-ego solipsism") that has been advanced for the World as Myth idea proposed by science fiction writer Robert A. Heinlein in several of his books and stories, although the concept has little in common with either pantheism (the universe is God) or solipsism (nothing exists but my mind). Heinlein coined the phrase for the last chapter of The Number of the Beast as part of the name of a convention attended by numerous characters from different fictional universes.
The World as Myth involves the idea that a powerful author, such as Edgar Rice Burroughs, Isaac Asimov, or Heinlein himself, creates a parallel universe simply by writing about it. It incorporates the portrayal of all myths and fictional universes existing as parallel universes to our own and that persons and beings from these various “worlds” interact with one another.
For instance, in his last novels, Heinlein’s characters actually travel to and interact with the Land of Oz. Even our own world is considered an alternate (coded as "One Small Step" for the first words spoken on the moon by Neil Armstrong).
Pantheistic Solipsism is the basis for the plot of the Woody Allen film The Purple Rose of Cairo in which a fictional character in a movie comes off the screen and into the "real world". The Arnold Schwarzenegger film The Last Action Hero later re-used this concept, in an action film rather than a tragicomic love story. In a similar example, the movie Pleasantville features a pair of teenagers who stumble into a reality based on a popular 1950's television show. Neil Gaiman frequently uses pantheistic solipsism in his writing.
The World of Myth concept was used as a central theme in the book Myst: The Book of Atrus by Rand and Robyn Miller. The writers of D'ni long had the ability to forge "links" with other worlds by writing descriptions of them. These links were bridges between the writer's universe and the potential universe, having been brought into existence by being observed by the writer, as per quantum mechanics. However, the last of the writers, Ghen, believed that he was creating those universes through his writing, and thus thought he could control them by changing them subtly after forging a link. When his plans go awry, he attempts to "erase" some of his previous mistakes, and the world on the other side of the link was not only free of his mistakes, but none of the people living there had any knowledge of his existence, giving the impression that he had not erased his mistakes, but rather forged a link to an entirely different universe where the mistakes had never been made.

El Chupacabra

Based on reliefs found in Europe and Mesoamerica, some researchers equate the appearance of the chupacabras to that of a gargoyle, leading one to believe the creatures were also part of the history of Medieval Europe and linked to evil spirits.
Today investigators go in search of the chupacabra to capture and study these elusive animals. It is the part of the quest of humanity through the paranormal to explains who we are and why we are here.
The term “Chupacabra” can be roughly translated as “goat-sucker.” It is known as both “chupacabras” and “chupacabra” throughout the Americas, with the former probably being the original word, and the latter a better regularization of it. The name can be preceded by the masculine definite article (“el chupacabras”), or the plural masculine article (“los chupacabras”). The term was supposedly coined by Puerto Rican television personality Silverio PĂ©rez, who intended the name to be a joke.
Physical descriptions of the creature vary. Sightings began in Puerto Rico in the early 1990s, and have since been reported as far north as the Carolinas and as far south as Chile.Though some argue that the chupacabra may be a real creature, mainstream scientists and experts generally contend that the chupacabra is a legendary creature, or a type of urban legend.

The Singularity

It seems more likely to me that all this complexity is better directed toward the end of the cycle when, after billions of years of evolution, everything finally comes together. Alfred North Whitehead proposed this same idea. He said that history grows toward what he called a "nexus of completion." And these nexuses of completion themselves grow together into what he called the "concrescence." A concrescence exerts a kind of attraction, which can be thought of as the temporal equivalent of gravity, except all objects in the universe are drawn toward it through time, not space. As we approach the lip of this cascade into concrescence, novelty, and completion, time seems to speed up and boundaries begin to dissolve. The more boundaries that dissolve, the closer to the concrescence we are. When we finally reach it, there will be no boundaries, only eternity as we become all space and time, alive and dead, here and there, before and after. Because this singularity can simultaneously co-exist in states that are contradictory, it is something which transcends rational apprehension. But it gives the universe meaning, because all processes can be seen to be seeking and moving in an effort to approximate, connect with, and append to this transcendental object at the end of time.

I am incomprehensible to the machines.

"In archaic societies where shamanism is a thriving institution, the signs are fairly easy to recognize:  oddness or uniqueness in an individual.  Epilepsy is often a signature in preliterate societies, or survival of an unusual ordeal in an unexpected way.  For instance, people who are struck by lightning and live are thought to make excellent shamans.  People who nearly die of a disease and fight their way back to health after weeks and weeks in an indeterminate zone are thought to have strength and soul.  Among aspiring shamans there must be some sign of inner strength or a hypersensitivity to trance states.  In traveling around the world and dealing with shamans, I find the distinguishing characteristic is an extraordinary centeredness.  Usually the shaman is an intellectual and is alienated from society.  A good shaman sees exactly who you are and says, "Ah, here's somebody to have a conversation with."  The anthropological literature always presents shamans as embedded in a tradition, but once one gets to know them they are always very sophisticated about what they are doing.  They are the true phenomenologists of this world;  they know plant chemistry, yet they call these energy fields "spirits."  We hear the word "spirits" through a series of narrowing declensions of meaning that are worse almost than not understanding.  Shamans speak of "spirit" the way a quantum physicist might speak of "charm"; it is a technical gloss for a very complicated concept."

Phillip K. Dick, in one of his last novels, Valis, discusses the long hibernation of the Logos. A creature of pure information, it was buried in the ground at Nag Hammadi, along with the burying of the Chenoboskion Library circa 370 A.D. As static information, it existed there until 1947, when the texts were translated and read. As soon as people had the information in their minds, the symbiote came alive, for, like the mushroom consciousness, Dick imagined it to be a thing of pure information. The mushroom consciousness is the consciousness of the Other in hyperspace, which means in dream and in the psilocybin trance, at the quantum foundation of being, in the human future, and after death. All of these places that were thought the be discrete and separate are seen to be part of a single continuum. History is the dash over ten to fifteen thousand years from nomadism to flying saucer, hopefully without ripping the envelope of the planet so badly that the birth is aborted and fails, and we remain brutish prisoners of matter.

Lucy Sky Diamonds.

Music is the language of the unconscious mind par excellence. Primordial racial memories are brought to the surface more readily by music than by natural scenery or any other art; it seems to be possible to relate familiar features of music to archaic experiences of humanity.
It is music that provides the strongest support for our thesis that aesthetic experience consists in the interaction between the universal primordial images buried in the unconscious and an external artifact or natural object which we call beautiful.
The incomparable power of music to move a listener to the depths of his being is well-known; it will, on occasion, bring him to tears. What is the explanation of the power of this stimulus which is unparalleled in the other arts? If our thesis is tenable it must be that music is for some reason an unusually effective agent for bringing to the surface archaic images and memories stored in the unconscious. As Jung remarks, "The man who speaks with primordial images speaks with a thousand .tongues. . . That is the secret of effective art." Now musical expression can stimulate archaic emotional experiences very effectively - fear by agitato, mourning by molto legato, excitement by prestissimo, sanctuary by rallentando succeeded by the tonic or home note, and in similar ways. These universal emotionally charged experiences become effective when they are raised from the deep unconscious to the surface mind, and it happens that music, unlike any of the other arts, provides precise and powerful means of effecting this transfer.

Dark Meta

Observations of visible matter, the only kind we can see directly, suggest that most of the universe is, in fact, composed of dark matter. This conclusion comes mainly from the belief that something unseen (dark matter) is tugging on visible matter, making it do things the laws of motion say it should not do. All visible bodies, therefore, seem to be careening about in a dense cloud of unseen, unknown masses. These might be dark, Jupiter-sized objects, black holes, and/or some exotic forms of matter. We must choose between the reality of dark matter or admit that something is awry with our laws of gravitation and motion when they are applied on a cosmological scale.
The dark matter surrounding a galaxy will, according to the Theory of Relativity, act as a gravitational lens that will deflect light rays passing near it. This dark matter, acting like a telescope, should increase the number of quasars counted in the sky near galactic clusters. Such larger quasar counts are indeed observed, but these increases are much larger than expected. The implication is that there is much more dark matter in the universe than previously thought. (Ron Cowen, "Quasar Count Poses Dark-Matter Puzzle" Science News, 143:397, 1993.)

Welcome to the Black Lodge

"Once upon a time, there was a place of great goodness, called the White Lodge. Gentle fawns gamboled there amidst happy, laughing spirits. The sounds of innocence and joy filled the air. And when it rained, it rained sweet nectar that infused one's heart with a desire to live life in truth and beauty. Generally speaking, a ghastly place, reeking of virtue's sour smell. Engorged with the whispered prayers of kneeling mothers, mewling newborns, and fools, young and old, compelled to do good without reason ... But, I am happy to point out that our story does not end in this wretched place of saccharine excess. For there's another place, its opposite:"

"A place of almost unimaginable power, chock full of dark forces and vicious secrets. No prayers dare enter this frightful maw. The spirits there care not for good deeds or priestly invocations, they're as like to rip the flesh from your bone as greet you with a happy "good day." And if harnessed, these spirits in this hidden land of unmuffled screams and broken hearts would offer up a power so vast that its bearer might reorder the Earth itself to his liking."

Mr Robert Anton Wilson

Robert Anton Wilson, in my opinion was a modern day genius. I really urge you to watch all of this video, not enough people have heard of him and he should be appreciated more.
I will miss him even if you dont.

Lucy In The Sky With.........

On April 19, 1943, Dr. Albert Hofmann dosed  himself with 0.25 mg of d-lysergic acid diethylamide tartrate, which he had accidentally ingested a few days earlier, and took his storied bike ride through the streets of Basel, Switzerland. A generation later the substance, abbreviated as LSD, fueled a cultural revolution despite criminalization in 1965. (LSD's social history can be read in Jay Stevens's 1987 Storming Heaven.) The most potent of all psychedelics, LSD is usually ingested orally on blotter paper frequently festooned with cultural icons. While the typical late-'60s tripper probably took around 250 mg of acid, the average strength of the hits sold in recent years, known to old-timers as "disco doses," is less than half that. LSD embodies a potentially infinate array of effects, ranging from mild sensory distortions to peak religious experiences.   It is essentially a boundary-dissolving, experience-enhancing substance-as with most psychedelics, the effects are tied to the mind-set of the user and the setting in which it is ingested.

Lucy In The Sky?

"I believe with the advent of acid, we discovered new ways to think and it has to do with piecing together new thoughts  of mind. Why is it  thatt people are so afraid of it? What is  it about it that scares people so deeply? Because they are afraid that there is more to reality than they have ever confronted. That  there are doors that they are afraid to go   in and they don't want us to go in  there either because if we go in, there we might learn something that they don't know. And that   makes us a  little out of control"  - Ken Kesey.

LSD use can produce a number of physical changes: mydriasis (prolonged dilation of the pupil of the eye), raised body temperature, rapid heartbeat, elevated blood pressure, increased blood sugar, salivation, tingling in fingers and toes, weakness, tremors, palpitations, facial flushing, chills, gooseflesh, profuse perspiration, nausea, dizziness, inappropriate speech, blurred vision, and intense anxiety.  Death caused by the direct effect of LSD on the body is virtually impossible. However, death related to LSD abuse has occurred as a result of the panic reactions, hallucinations, delusions, and paranoia experienced by users.

Fire Walk With Me

Ok today I have a very special clip for you. It contains two of the strangest people on the face of the earth David Bowie and David Lynch .
This is my favourite clip from the Twin Peeks movie, Fire Walk With Me.

Through the darkness of future past,
The magician longs to see
Once chants out between two worlds:
Fire, walk with me.

I'm not going to talk about Judy, infact we're not going to talk about Judy at all!

Zack, Deadly Premonitions could well be one of the most under rated games in the history of the world.

(Taps chest)

True Zack, the shooting mechanics are pretty terrible and the graphics look straight out of a Dreamcast, but the characters and story are so amazing I would of happily played another 30 hours on top of the 30 it took me to complete it.

I wonder what everyone else thought of it Zack.

Today we have a special guess, I give you David Lynch.
Let me now what you think.

Behold my painting. Let me know what you think.

Feedback is all around us.  Some philosophers and scientists believe that consciousness itself is nothing but feedback; it's the brain thinking about the brain.  Thinking about thinking creates feedback, and that may have been one of the sparks of human consciousness.  That is what is so interesting about seeing a smaller example of a feedback system and be able to, when you look at one of these patterns, to see everything from hurricanes to swastikas, and all kinds of things in between. Some mathematicians to this day, even with chaos theory and nonlinear dynamics, say "How can such complex behavior arise from such a simple system?"  These systems also have meaning in the physical world.  What we have in video feedback is an incredibly simple system that is deterministic in design yet we get incredibly complex output from the system, even if there's no human invention. When everyone thinks of fractals they think of a digital environment, and here is this totally analog environment which I never understood before producing beautiful, self- referential images.

The Power Of Information

We hypostatize information into objects.  Rearrangement of objects is change in the content of the information; the message has changed.  This is a language which we have lost the ability to read.  We ourselves are a part of this language; changes in us are changes in the content of the information.  We ourselves are information-rich; information enters us, is processed and is then projected outward once more, now in an altered form.  We are not aware that we are doing this, that in fact this is all we are doing.
In summary; thoughts of the brain are experienced by us as arrangements and rearrangements - change - in a physical universe; but in fact it is really information and information-processing which we substantialize.  We do not merely see its thoughts as objects, but rather as the movement, or, more precisely, the placement of objects: how they become linked to one another.  But we cannot read the patterns of arrangement; we cannot extract the information in it - i.e. it as information, which is what it is.  The linking and relinking of objects by the Brain is actually a language but not a language like ours (since it is addressing itself and not someone or something outside itself).
